DESCRIPTION OF CHANGE: Vishay Dale Thin Film is changing the supplier of its thick film substrate used to manufacture 1206 case size thick film surface mount chip resistors ranging. This change is the result of an end of life notification from Mushachino ECT. As a result of this end of life notification, Vishay has qualified Maruwa to supply substrates for this case size.
Qualification testing was performed according to the requirements of Table 8 of MIL-PRF-55342. Qualification samples used for this testing consisted of 1 Ohm, 40K Ohm, 10M Ohm and 22M Ohm resistance values.
CLASSIFICATION OF CHANGE: Material – Change in supplier of material
REASON FOR CHANGE: To maintain supply of finished product due to end of life of raw material.
EXPECTED INFLUENCE ON QUALITY/RELIABILITY/PERFORMANCE: No change in fit, function, quality, reliability, or performance.
